FWFC offers two membership levels. Flying Membership requires a one-time initiation fee of $300, followed by $100 in monthly dues ($65 membership dues and $35 insurance assessment) beginning the first day of the following month. Sim-Only membership requires a $100 initiation fee and $25 in monthly monthly dues.
No, unfortunately we are unable to pro-rate membership dues or initiation fees. Please note that the initiation fee includes both the new member initiation and the monthly dues for the first month, or the remainder of the month in which you join.
We do not offer family membership. Each individual logging flight time must be a club member.
All billing is done through our online scheduler, Flight Circle. Dues are collected on the 1st of each month. Aircraft rentals are paid at the time of check-in, upon completion of each flight. All members must have a valid credit/debit card on file and set up for autopay. All payments must be made via a debit/credit card through Flight Circle and accrue a small service fee of 3.5%. ACH payments are also available through Flight Circle, and there’s no additional service fee when using this option.
Yes, all members must carry a non-owned renters insurance policy which carries a hull coverage of $10,000 to the non-owned aircraft. This insurance is primarily used in the case of hangar rash incidents while moving aircraft in and out of the hangar.
We use a system called Flight Circle to manage aircraft all the scheduling and maintenance squawks.
Yes, we have club instructors available for checkouts, flight reviews, and other training needs. As a member, you’ll work directly with the instructor to arrange scheduling and payment. Each instructor operates independently of the club and sets their own rates. All instructors providing flight training in club aircraft are required to be club members as well.
To become an instructor at FWFC, you must first become a club member. After joining, you can schedule a CFI checkout with one of our club CFIs. Once the checkout flight is complete, you’ll submit a CFI application to the club board for review and approval. If approved, you’ll complete a brief orientation with the club president or designated representative to review the expectations for club CFIs. After that, you’ll be approved to provide instruction to other FWFC members.
No, the club does not own the aircraft. The planes are leased—typically from other club members—under 30-day auto-renewing lease agreements.
Visit our membership page to complete and submit an application to FWFC. Once approved, you’ll receive access to our online scheduling system, Flight Circle, where you can pay your initiation fee and contact a club instructor to schedule a checkout or any additional training.
Yes, the club hosts monthly club meetings, and we occasionally organize fly-outs for lunch and other group activities.
Yes, we do allow overnight flights under our 24-hour rule. Overnight flights require a minimum charge of 3 hours for each 24-hour period the aircraft is checked out. For example, if the aircraft is dispatched at noon on Saturday and checked in at 1 PM on Sunday, the rental spans 25 hours would be a total of 25 hours (two 24-hour periods), resulting in a 6-hour minimum charge. The 24-hour period is calculated from dispatch to check-in time in Flight Circle. If the aircraft is not dispatched before engine start, the reservation start time will be used instead.
To terminate your FWFC membership, please email the vice president at fwfcvicepresident@gmail.com. If you plan to fly through the end of the current month, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice before month-end to avoid being charged for the following month.
