Kamran Farid recently passed his PPL checkride and we asked him to tell us a little about his journey – he had this to say:
“My PPL journey began when I was 8 years old. I remember hearing about my great grandfather who was a pilot for the Navy during World War II. I knew if I had the opportunity to fly, I would give it my best shot.
Unfortunately, flying is expensive. I put myself out there, looking for instructors and came into contact with Michael Galloway. He introduced me to the club and the rest is history.
FWFC made it easy to learn with a supporting community of pilots who are eager to help, plus it was substantially more affordable than any option in town. It is not an easy task to acquire one’s PPL, but it’s been a gratifying experience and it’s an honor to be among a group of people who can controllably defy gravity.
Kam”
From all of us at FWFC – Congratulations!
