FWFC Steps Up To Provide Disaster Relief
Jul 08, 2025

The call went out, and the Fort Worth Flying Club answered!

Catastrophic flooding has wrought devastation throughout Central Texas, claiming the lives of over a hundred people (at last count), with more missing, and thousands displaced.

Operation Airdrop* mobilized, and Fort Worth Flying Club members responded by providing supplies for search, rescue, and relief efforts in the affected areas, much-needed items such as cleaning supplies, safety gear, hand tools, and clean drinking water.

Shout out to our members who dug deep into their pockets, as well as devoting their time and gasoline, to deliver these supplies to Operation Airdrop. A special thanks to Alan Hammond, Molly Minatra, Noel Mareno, and Sam Levander. Our club is about so much more than simply flying.

Texas flood relief efforts still need supplies, money, and prayers. Please continue to pray and provide any other help you can. To donate to Operation Airdrop, go to OperationAirdrop.org

Every bit helps, even a small donation – many hands make light work! Together, we can make a real difference to the thousands of victims in these tragically affected areas.
