Behind the Scenes with FWPD’s Air Support Unit

This past weekend, a small group of Fort Worth Flying Club members had the opportunity to visit the Fort Worth Police Department’s Air Support Unit right here at KFTW! Since the FWPD hangar is just across the way from our own, it was especially fun to finally get the chance to head over and check out their operation.

We’re incredibly thankful to FWPD for welcoming our club and giving us the chance to learn more about the role aviation plays in supporting the Fort Worth community. It was a great opportunity to see another side of aviation and learn more about the unique work their team does.

A special shoutout to Pilot Scott and TFO Alex for taking the time to show us around, answer our questions, and share their experience with us! We’re grateful to have such a unique aviation community right in our own backyard!
